Now in it’s 2^nd season, its success is better than anticipated, the Humber Keel’s ‘4 Seasons Pool Championship’ has become a great event for pool players to participate in. The first 12 players made it a success and as a result we have 2 divisions. We kicked off the Spring season with 12 players in each division so we will be playing 9 frames matches.

Prize money isn’t the best, but I have always felt pool should be about achievement NOT about money, which why the trophies will be far superior to anything seen in the any local league around, there will also be a shield which will displayed inside Humber Keel for all to see, and each season the winner will have his/her names engraved on it.

 I also feel this competition will improve players abilities, as it’s played over a longer format, and it give the players more confidence going into league matches. Hopefully with all the right ingredients we can make this competition an even bigger success, and an enjoyable experience for all the play in it.

 With its dedicated website you can keep track of results and fixtures, as the league is so flexible, you can re-arrange ANY match to suit, and this has been a big selling point, we currently have reserves down, however we want to increase the league to 3, maybe 4 divisions, and so the more name we get down the quicker we start a new division, the seasons come thick and fast, every 13 weeks, so if you have a bad season, you don’t have to wait long until another!
